For many of our friends and family it will have been some time since we have been in touch (except for a Christmas card or two). Some good things have been happening in my life recently that have led me to a new and exciting opportunity I wanted to write and tell you about.
Through a series of circumstances I have been sensing God’s direction in doing more with my faith to serve people and share God’s love with others. Recently I heard about a short- term mission service project sponsored by my church – The Embassy. I have sensed God nudging me about the possibility of being part of this cross-cultural experience.

- August 19-28 2009 – Kiev (Street Kids & Inner City ministry), Krivoy Rog (Sunshine Orphanages & Village Ministry), Crimea – (outreaches).
It is my hope that I can make a difference in the life of hurting people in Ukraine as well as developing in my own walk with the Lord.
This is a HUGE step of faith for me in so many ways and so I am asking friends and family to partner with me in prayer and encouragement. Pray that we might be protected as we travel, that we might make a difference in people’s lives while in Ukraine, and that we might know God’s blessing through this experience.
I also want to let you know about the financial details of the trip. The cost for me to participate in this experience that I need to raise is $2200. This includes airfare, food and accommodation, and some limited funds for materials. I am praying that God would speak to interested people who will be receiving this letter who may feel led to support me in this ministry. If this would describe you, you may send along a cheque to my home address above made out to “The Embassy Church” indicating somewhere on the cheque that the donation is for my support. All donations over $20 are fully tax-deductible and will be receipted at year-end. Spending of funds is confined to The Embassy Church Board approved programs and projects. Each restricted contribution designated towards a board approved program or project will be used as designated with the understanding that when the need for such a program or project has been met, or cannot be completed for any reason determined by the board, the remaining restricted contributions designated for such program or project will be used where needed most. Please include your full address along with the cheque so the church office can forward a receipt to your home. Any gifts large or small are appreciated and will help us in this mission effort.
